Nutshell Kingdom: RIP - Al Aronowitz
2005

Let's imagine there were six people in that New York hotel room, August 28, 1964. All getting high. Four for the first time. Three are dead now. John first, years ago, then George, and now Al. Bob, Paul and Ringo remain.

Al Aronowitz introduced the Bob Dylan to the Beatles. He also introduced the Beatles to pot. Less than a year later, they recorded 'Norweigan Wood' and Dylan plugged in electric guitars and hired a rhythm section.

Nothing was the same for any of us, even though many of us weren't alive yet. It was the most productive drug deal ever done. Is that a sitar I'm hearing?

Take a deep breath and pass it around. Hand me a guitar. Hold tight.

Thanks Al. Rest in Peace.
