Nutshell Kingdom: Ghetto I-Pod
2005

I don't have an Ipod. I don't download songs. So last night, I made my Ghetto Ipod mixtape by taking ten mix CDs and, using dice of course, would randomly decide which of the ten CDs to putin my player and then hitting shuffle and taping whatever song played. Repeat until the tape fills up. I got a good mix ranging from Ike and Tina to Cabaret Voltaire, from the Go-Betweens to Bionic Dub, from the Cure to Muddy Waters.

Bored? Not anymore!

PS- For starters, I used the last ten freebie CDs from Mojo magazine: The Clash's favorite songs, Johnny Cash covers, Elvis influences, Sex Pistol influences, Studio One Records mix, Post-Punk mix, Southern Soul mix, 60s Mod mix, U2's favorite songs, and a Chess Records mix.

All in all, an interesting 90 minutes.
