Nutshell Kingdom: Transformative Exercises Other Than Celibacy
2008

You're right Adina, celibate people are annoying, but I do get where they are coming from; I do understand that need for a transformative act that lifts you out of where you are and places you firmly someplace else.
Itis the adventure with time that I was alluding to last week.  I can only imagine what celibacy does to your perception of time.   I quit smoking once - it's probably worse than that.  Currently I walk, but I do it in a way designed specifically for meditation.  Maybe walking is exercise, but let's face it - it's walking!  However, it can be meditative if done right.  What I do is refuse to think of a destination or a route.  I try to choose my direction as intuitively as possible and follow that street until  it ends or my intuition tells me to turn.  I will do this for about 2 or 3 hours lately, after the sun goes down, since I need to get really tired so as to get a good night's sleep (or maybe have some sex).
