Post-Modern Drunk: Bucket Menu
I just discovered a handwritten note that I wrote to myself while I was in the hospital--if I remember correctly, it was somewhere around month two. This is all the foods I was looking forward to having again when I got out.

  • Pork dumplings (Dumpling House)
  • Malfatti¹ (Al Di La)
  • Nachos Supreme (Taco Bell)
  • Bacon-wrapped hot dog, aka "Spicy Redneck" (Crif Dogs)
  • Pork Buns (Momofuku Ssam Bar)
  • Bo Ssam (Momofuku Ssam Bar)
  • Burger (Burger Joint)
  • Burger (In N Out)
  • Pork Huarache² (Red Hook Soccer Fields)
  • Horchata (Red Hook Soccer Fields)
  • Watermelon & Pork Belly Salad (Fatty Crab)
  • Presbyterian³ (Little Branch)
  • Beef, black beans, and sweet plantains Arepa (Shachi's)
  • Wild Turkey 101 (couch)
¹ "Poorly made" dumplings, swiss chard and ricotta, in a sage brown butter sauce.
² A giant taco-like thing the size of a paper plate with black beans in the masa, and then pork, guac, sour cream, crema, and other fixings
³ Rye, ginger ale (or sometimes ginger beer), soda, candied ginger

Thankfully, I've had each and every one of them since then.
