Post-Modern Drunk: Wine in a Box
I have become addicted–in a non-technical sense, to a boxed wine.

Well, it's really more wine out of a carton. It's not the wine in a space bag in a box that people think of when they say "boxed wine." This is not a "cask wine."

It's more like a giant juice box, but with a different type of grape juice. Special magical grape juice, that makes you forget things, pick fights with frat boys, and generally enjoy life a little more than you might have had you remained sober.

But it's not just any carton of wine. It is Three Thieves Bandit. BANDIT! A Pinot Grigio from California (they don't get any more specific than that), this may just in fact be the most drinkable white wine I've had in a long time. It goes down like water. Magical water. It's everything a young drunkard needs to sustain him through these hot lonely nights.

It's $7.99 a carton...and here's the best part: it is a Liter Carton. Not 750ml. One freaking liter! That's a third more wine for your buck!

This might in fact be the champagne of boxed wines.
