Post-Modern Drunk: Uncomfortable Silences
So.

There was this guy on the subway this morning. Huge guy, with a well-groomed goatee. Jeans and a long-sleeved t-shirt, and a pair of D&G sunglasses (I have no way of knowing if they were fake or not).

That's all I noticed for most of the trip. Then, a couple stops before I got off, I glanced up and noticed, in the webbing between his thumb and forefinger, a crudely done swastika tattoo, about the size of a penny.

"Huh, that's interesting. I should remember to tell Giff." Because I don't trust myself to remember anything these days, I pulled out my Hipster PDA, and wrote myself a brief note. In fact, all I wrote was the swastika, sketching it quickly and crudely and without any thought as to how publicly I was doing so.

I looked up to notice the well-dressed black man, looking for the world like Barack Obama dressed up for casual Friday, glaring at me.

He gave me dirty and suspicious looks the rest of the ride.
