I - years ago - once wrote a postcard (my preferred communication mode to my political servants) to Wilmington's Mayor, Harper Peterson concerning the prescense of a Confederate Soldiers monument and no Riot of 1898 acknowledgement/monument.
So, today, on "le show", I hear something like this:
Dateline, Wilmington, North Carolina ladies and gentlemen. The Democratic National Committee - local branch - has acknowledged the 1898 race riots - the only official instance of overt government involvement in an overthrow of black businesses and their white allies. Public lynchings and dragging of bodies to the fountain at fifth and market. Black bodies.
