sunshine jen: 90210 Day

Today is September 2, 2010 aka 9/02/10. Yep 90210. That famous Luke Perry star-making zip code.

As I was driving down Wilshire Boulevard this morning, I noticed several banners proclaiming 90210 day. I wondered if that meant all the jewelry shops were giving away freebies. No, they weren’t.

Still, Southern California has a lot of zip codes that start with nine, so I wondered what other communities had reason to celebrate their zip code in September.

After a quick stop on google maps, I made a list. Yes, it’s trivial, but it’s September.

90310 – Inglewood
90410 – Santa Monica
90510 – Torrance
90610 – Whittier
90710 – Lomita
90810 – Long Beach

91010 – Duarte
91110 – Pasadena
91210 – Glendale
91310 – Castaic
91410 – Van Nuys
91510 – Burbank
91610 – Valley Village
91710 – Chino

91910 – Chula Vista
92010 – Carlsbad
92110 – San Diego
92210 – Indian Wells
92310 – Fort Irwin
92410 – San Bernadino

92610 – Foothill Ranch
93010 – Camarillo

Happy September, So Cal!
