sunshine jen: Blue Toes Blues

I have cuts on my feet
And a snag in my hose
I don't what to seek
And I don't know where to go.

I paid too much rent
And now my credit's been maxed
I have too many thoughts to vent
And I can't just relax.

I save and I scrimp
But it's never enough
I wanna eat shrimp
But I live too damn rough.

I've got no tattoos
But I've got a few scars
I could use a quick snooze
Before driving my car

I wear dark simple clothes
Sometimes I'm terribly shy
I keep my mouth closed
When you ask me why

I like to drink beer
Sometimes I drink it alone
I don't hold much dear
And I can't go home

I use to like mess
But now I like clean
I bought a new dress
That makes me look lean

I know what I want
And who, why, and where
And if I can get one
I really don't care

I have really weird toes
And I paint them blue
I don't know where to go
And I don't know what to do.
