sunshine jen: Word Managment: Four Quadrant Film

To: All Departments

From: Department of Word Management

Re: Four Quadrant Film

We in the Word Management Department learned a new word this week. Please file in the appropriate files.

Four Quadrant Film: In the film industry, a film which appeals to all age groups from birth to death.

Yes, it sounds like something out of science fiction:

Captain, we're entering the fourth quadrant. We're now moving into the tween galaxy.

Isn't it a little redundant to say four quadrant? Isn't the four implied when you deal with a quadrant? Wouldn't it be better to say all quadrants? But what do I know? I'm not a studio executive. How about film for all ages or F-FAA?
