Cootie Girl: a poem for April
4.19.2005

Let me just preface this by saying that I did not write this poem. My friend Pat wrote it this weekend for one of his acting classes. I thought it was very good and begged him to send it to me so I can post it here. So here you go a poem for April from Pat.

************

Is that how you say it, the travesty just described

My dear fellow citizens, I cannot abide

For I was no where near the vicinity

To commit such a grievous sin, you see

And so it goes, I will take time to offer proof

Once it's heard by all there'll be no rebuff

Let it be known, the true committer of this crime

For I have searched every corner of my mind

That it was you, my dearest colleague, yes you

So foul and unscrupulous to do such folly

Punishment for you should be the most severe

Incarceration is your torture for many a year

************

Thanks Pat! and Happy Poetry month!
