two animal related stories today:
one day when i was in central park (circa 1998) i saw a mom and dad with their 3 year old son and a little pug-like dog. and the dad said to his son "now, remember, you can pet "gus", you just can't poke him". i find this rule is applicable to life in general.
a co-worker said her son gave her a goldfish for mother's day. apparently his whole class gave goldfish to their moms. i can't figure out what this teacher was thinking...
