Nutshell Kingdom: Overheard
2006
Two small boys after playing in a sprinkler:
1st boy: "My underwear is wet. Wanna see?"
1st boy pulls his waistband out, as if to show wet underwear.
2nd boy(shirtless): "I don't have any underwear. Wooo! Wooo!"
2nd boy jumps up and down over and over, just howling his contentment at being wet and free.
1st boy lets go off his waistband; it snaps hard against his wet belly.
Mom hustles them both off to the car and air-conditioning.
