Nutshell Kingdom: Life Coaching in Eight Syllables
2008

Go and live by a river - find
a place where the landscape moves by
on its own power. You can sit
still and let days rush into you.

There is the other life - forget it.
There are no clean towels there,
and the filling moon is the same
everywhere. That's what I hear from
people that go there.  They all come
back anyway.  Charlotte Gainsbourg
or someone like her - find that girl
and settle up for your own good.

Even if  you're a straight woman
or a gay man, that's the truth.
Boys won't sit still, not on the whole.
It's almost a fact, all that shit
about boys and girls that you hear
on TV.  People do what they want.

There's no telling for any of us.
