Nutshell Kingdom: Me, A Flower?
2008

"a bee will not sting
if you stand very still,"
my mother said, "but
know," she added,
"that if you stand still
for too long, you will
always wonder what
a bee sting feels like."

so i moved.
once.

another time, a bee
was about. i sat very
still and it landed on
my shirt.  "it thinks
that you're a flower,"
my mother told me.

me, a flower?

how sad is life?
