Sarah put on a CD last night of some random tunes. Tim Buckley singing Song to the Siren came on. My jaw dropped. As a teen I was obsessed with the Elizabeth Fraser (of the Cocteau Twins/This Mortal Coil) version. I never knew that the original was by Buckley Sr. What a song.Years later, it still gives me goosebumps. Either version.

The other song I am obsessed with at this moment in "faithful shooter" by Richard Buckner. He has one of the clearest, most interesting voices. He is not folk so much as a balladeer. Is that a word?

Oh yeah, as my grandmother said, sometimes it is just best to keep my mouth shut.

I saw Adam yesterday and I got really sad. He was so much clearer. He said he felt foolish that he hadn't respected or trusted our love and believed in dips. He was kind of crying. I am confused. It was good to hear all that stuff, but what does he want? what do I want?
