Pony: Monday night dinner redux
5.10.2005

I am a big fan of Patak's curry paste. If you have a few hours on your hands, it is well worth it to roast your own spices and grind them, but Patak's pastes are an excellent substitute in a pinch.

Last night:
Grain-fed chicken breasts marinated in biryani paste, ginger syrup (from Dufferin Grove Farmer's Market) and yogurt.
Swiss chard and leeks stir fried with lemon.
Roasted potatoes.
Hamburgers with Mia's homemade bbq sauce (we were expecting more guests).
sharp goat cheese.

Cooking method:
Barbecue, stove, oven.

Company:
Matt and Emily.

Beverage:
Gewürztraminer

Conversation:
Rather bourgeois, I am afraid:
Babies, and is there a "right" time?
Homeowning and is it a possibility without a big loan?
Wine, and is Dave right to take the piss out of Australia.
