It is most unseemly to come to work covered in sweat, in skimpy clothes, with a backpack stuck to your back from the ride in. But I am kind of getting used to this heat. And I think that after the initial post-winter shock (from sweaters and jeans to actual exposed skin) we are getting used to each other's relative nudtity and sweatiness.
The only thing I can't get used to is guy toes in "mandals". You know the ones. The nasty yellow toenails that are thick and unclipped.
But otherwise, I love the dreamy lethargy, and I am slowly adjusting to the relentless heat. Tons of cold showers. Light meals. Tons of reading by the fan. Every cell feels different.
This weekend we are going to escape the big smoke and get away to somewhere a bit less polluted. Swim in a lake! Breath clean air.
