Pony: anemia nervosa
12.7.2006

Word to the wise: If someone in their third trimester complains to you about exhaustion, you might want to gently recommend they get their iron tested.

Turns out I am anemic - the baby is taking all my iron and using it to forge his own superhuman blood. I have been feeling dizzy and spacey and oh-so tired, and figured that it was just part-and-parcel with building a baby. Nope. Turns out I am way low on the Fe.

The midwife also said he is big. Big babies are good, don't get me wrong. I don't know if there is any space left for him to grow, though. And I am just going to have to do a bit of extra special pushing to get him out. Oy. Birth jitters. breathe. Breathe.
