Pony: Lisa in Beirut
7.12.2007

On Monday, the following chat occurred between me and my sister:
Lisa: sorry, the internet connection is really unstable here
me: where are you?
Lisa: beirut

Um. Beirut? Apparently, yes. She pitched a freelance human interest piece on Beirut a year after the war to a local Israeli tv station, and they accepted. She is back safely, but as much as she raved about warm people, beautiful city, etc. she can never go back. Apparently she has been labelled a zionist spy by the Hezbolla tv station.

oy vey.
