Pony: the little person
5.7.2010

When G first started drawing he had a pen in each hand, he lay down on the paper and totally inhabited the drawing. Then he moved on to lines punctuated by rosettes. Then large scribbles followed by large swaths of colour. And recently zig-zags connected by straight lines peppered with dots.

This morning, Gabriel made his first representational drawing. And he drew this upside down!  He is a bit of a genius. This is so awesome and exciting, but it's also a bit sad - when you start to try to get something right, you move away from all the spontaneous 2-fisted, full-body shape and colour stuff. I hope the spontaneity is always there, and that drawing always brings him joy.
