Post-Modern Drunk: I Can't Change Lanes, I'll Change Lanes
I was shocked and excited to learn today that Dublin has just yesterday finished off construction of the Samuel Beckett Bridge crossing the Liffey. Nothing says "convenient transportation link through a modern metropolis" than naming it after a guy who wrote on disconnection, stasis, missed connections, and waiting around forever for a person who will never come.

I can only hope that approaches to the bridge leave you waiting for an eternity for a green light that will never come, that it somehow routes you through an apocalyptic wasteland, and that, when it collapses, we can get a statement from the architect on the level of "Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."

Now if we can only get a Sartre Exit ramp attached to it as well, my life will be complete. And by "complete," I mean horrifyingly empty and devoid of meaning.

"Yes, let's go." [Your car does not move.]
