the way i see it: Top 10 Little-Known Working Titles of Popular Songs
6.9.2006

Anyone who really cares about popular music knows that the original title of The Beatles' "Yesterday" was "Scrambled Eggs". I bet, however, that not too many folks are aware of the following working titles of songs that later became smash hits.

1. Michael Jackson - "Don't Stop 'Til You Get a Decent Amount"

2. Vicki Lawrence - "The Night That Several Areas of Georgia Were Without Power"

3. The Who - "Skee-Ball Master"

4. Kim Carnes - "Sammy Davis Eyes"

5. Sammy Hagar - "I'm Havin' A Hard Time Keepin' It Below The Speed Limit"

6. The Rolling Stones - "(I Am Not Able To Get Any) Poontang"

7. Billy Ocean - "Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Underground Sex Dungeon"

8. The Bee Gees - "How Deep Is Your Wound?"

9. The Beatles - "While My Guitar Sobs Uncontrollably"

10. Simon & Garfunkel - "Parsley, Sage, Hot Dogs, and Drinks"
