tim!: The Truths of Moonstruck
2004
The following are the secret truths hidden in the world of Moonstruck, a major motion picture starring Cher and Nicolas Cage.

1) Having a drink thrown in your face may be humbling and humiliating, but it is still something I want to experience.

2) Cadillac cars are the finest automobiles this country has to offer.

3) Martinis seem like a good idea until you drink one. I like vodka and olives just fine. Adding vermouth to anything, it seems, is an act of a fool.

4) Art, with the exception of the Performance flavor, is something to behold. Not in a museum, never ever in a museum.

5) The moon, yes, let us all look at the moon. If not in Brooklyn, then perhaps at the beach.

6) Opera. Why not.

7) Holding hands, that's nice.

8) New York in a movie, often well portrayed, really misses some aspect that can't be captured two-dimensionally.

9) Men wearing hats, let's have more of this.

10) Marriage and fidelity. Deal with it or get a divorce.

11) Sometimes busses hit people.

12) Good jazz and bad jazz, although genretically similar, could not be more different.

13) Demanding a woman get into your bed while outside your apartment in the freezing cold is really quite a trick.

14) Love breaks your heart and ruins everything. Mmmmm.

15) Some people are schmucks and there is nothing you can do to change that.

16) As ridiculous a person I believe Cher to be, her performance in Moonstruck is a job well done.

17) Apparently plumbers do very well financially.

18) Don't forget to make the deposit. People will talk.

19) Put a sugar cube in your champagne or sparkling wine beverage.
