Pony: Taking Fridays Off
7.15.2008

I love taking Fridays off.  Fridays are unlike any other day of the week - the city has the buzz of an audience watching the opening credits. All week, something has been happening behind the curtain and Friday we take our seats, but the theatre's not packed yet.

We have not yet been disappointed by the flopping arc of Saturday or Sunday's sad denouement . Fridays are shiny anticipation.

I took last Friday off. I was going to take Gabriel out of daycare and spend some QT with my guy, but instead i got a pedicure, read in a cafe, went for a bikeride down to the new Ht0 park. Sat there for a bit and watched the water.

Come Saturday, I had already unwound, and nothing was too big a deal.  Good meals, great company, and none of that need to pack everything in to such a short period of time. You should totally take Fridays off.
