Pony: On celibacy and corruption
7.15.2008

In answer to Blaine's post on celibacy: This topic has come up a lot ove rthe past couple of weeks, and i have concluded that chastity is largely bogus, but that certain environments need to be chaste.

Celibate environments are seldom such. Once you declare an environment sex-free, it becomes the elephant in the room. People who declare dominion over their sexual impulses but want you to hang their picture on the wall and call them guru - they're  probably shagging their acolytes.

Celibacy is a vow for narcissists. Chaste environments, however, are another thing. If you are in a position of power and you are creating a place where people have come to learn or transform, you have a duty to not exploit them, and to make your environment somewhat chaste.  Save the sexy for later.
